The closest airport to Thassos is Kavala - the alternative is Thessaloniki, which is about 140 kilometers from Kavala. Completion of the journey is then by taxi to a ferry point, and then a ferry, either from Keramoti (the option for car drivers) or Kavala for the Dolphin Hydrofoil. Car Hire |

There is also a bus service from Thessaloniki to Kavala, but this is from the town's bus station, not the airport, and we have no information on the timetable nor the cost at this time. |

| Ferries operate from Keramoti to Thassos Town, which is the route used by the Package Tour operators, but also from Kavala to Thassos Town, Prinos, and one or two other places on the island. Ferry times vary throughout the holiday season, but full details for all ferry routes are available at the Greek Travel Pages web site, linked here.
