Thassos is the most northerly of the Greek holiday islands, and considered by many to be the most beautiful.

The island is situated only a 30 minute ride on the car ferry from Keramotti.

The nearest airport is Kavala.

Skala Potamias is situated in the north east of the island of Thassos, about 30 minutes drive from the ferry terminal in Thassos Town.

The road from Thassos passes over the mountain, through Panagia and Potamias down to the coast and the small village of Skala Potamias.

This part of the coast has beaches as good as anywhere else on the island.

The Steki Taverna is on the main road from Potamias, 800 meters from the main beach and the harbour.

The taverna and it's rooms for rent sit within their own tended gardens.
